Meditation, heart-brain coherence and quantum physics: the science behind change and happiness.
I recently went to a summit of several days by Dr. Joe Dispenza in Basel. Very inspiring and enlightening and I often saw a direct link in what I have been doing for years in my work. I am happy to chat in the blog below!
In a world where science and spirituality are coming ever closer together, a fascinating field is emerging in which meditation, heart-brain coherence and quantum physics are converging. Scientific research shows that our consciousness has a profound effect on our bodies and our reality. But how exactly does this work? And how can we apply this knowledge to create lasting change in our lives?
When the brain spends too much time in the high beta frequency (above 20 Hz), it can lead to chronic stress, anxiety and excessive cognitive activity.

Several studies show that meditation can reduce stress.
Heart-brain coherence: the key to inner harmony
The concept of heart-brain coherence refers to a state in which the heart rhythm and brain waves work together in harmony. The HeartMath Institute has shown that when we experience positive emotions – such as gratitude, love and joy – our heart rhythm exhibits a more orderly, coherent pattern. This directly affects our brain, reduces stress and promotes clear thinking.
Coherence between the heart and brain activates the parasympathetic nervous system, leading to relaxation, improved focus and emotional stability. In this state, we can more easily create new thought patterns and consciously shape our reality.
Brain waves and meditation: the path to deep transformation
Our brains operate at different frequencies that affect our mental and emotional states:
- Beta (14-30 Hz):The normal, active state of wakefulness and thinking.
- Alpha (8-14 Hz):A relaxed, creative state in which learning and visualization becomes easier.
- Theta (4-8 Hz):Deep meditation and access to the subconscious, ideal for transformation.
- Delta (0.5-4 Hz):The deepest relaxation, associated with sleep and healing.
When the brain spends too much time in the high beta frequency (above 20 Hz), it can lead to chronic stress, anxiety and excessive cognitive activity. Studies have shown that people with overactive beta brain waves often struggle with sleep problems, elevated cortisol levels and impaired emotional regulation. Research by neuroscientists, such as Dr. Richard Davidson and Dr. Joe Dispenza, shows that meditation helps to reduce beta activity and promote a transition to the more calming alpha and theta states. This leads to increased creativity, inner peace and improved neuroplasticity and thus to more satisfaction and/or happiness experience in your life.
One of the most powerful techniques to achieve this transformation is by going into meditation to the “sweet spot of nothing,” as Dr. Joe Dispenza likes to call it. This is a state in which you completely detach your consciousness from your physical reality, thoughts and emotions. Here, in this deep emptiness, you are most receptive to change and can realign your energy with the frequency of your desired reality. This is the moment when you are no longer limited by the past and your brain is open to new neural connections and creation on a quantum level.
You can also achieve this state through Healing Breath. During the relaxation phase of a breathing session, the body switches to a deep state of relaxation, where brain waves slow down and you can more easily access the “sweet spot of nothing.” This is the point where you completely detach from old patterns and conditioning, and make a deep connection with the quantum field in which true transformation takes place. I myself have been working with both meditation and the breath technique for 25 years and have observed this many times with my clients. A comment often given is, “I felt like I was outside of time and space.”
Quantum physics and consciousness: Are we creating our own reality?
Quantum physics states that observation affects physical reality. Experiments such as the famous “double-slit” test show that the way we look at the world affects how matter behaves. This opens the door to the possibility that our thoughts and intentions have a direct impact on the reality around us.
Dr. Joe Dispenza and other researchers at the intersection of neuroscience and quantum physics suggest that our brains function as a “transmitter and receiver.” When we enter a state of deep focus and emotion through meditation and heart-brain coherence, we send powerful signals into the quantum field. This would explain why intentions and visualizations, if accompanied by the right emotional energy, can have a measurable effect on our physical reality. Personally, I find this literally and figuratively “magical”! And I have also been able to see and observe too many times of this that it actually works that way. But perhaps this sounds too simple? Performing and sticking to exercise is not entirely easy! Still, some tips:
How do you apply this in your life?
Want to use these insights to create lasting change in your life? Here are some practical steps:
- Begin with Breathing Exercises-Do the short breathing exercise as I always prescribe it when clients have done a breathing session here and focus on your heart area. This helps to achieve heart-brain coherence.
- Practice Daily Meditation-Use guided meditations or breathing techniques to bring your brainwaves into a lower, receptive frequency.
- Cultivate Positive Emotions-Feel the emotion of gratitude, love and joy as if your wish has already become a reality.
- Visualize Your Goals-See yourself already living in the reality you want to create and feel this deep inside.
- Go to the “Sweet Spot of Nothing”– During deep meditation or Healing Breath, focus on a state of pure emptiness and awareness, detached from the past and physical reality. This is where true transformation begins.
- Be Consistent-Repetition and intention are crucial. The more often you apply these techniques, the stronger your influence on your subconscious and the quantum field becomes.
So: your consciousness as the most powerful tool to happiness!
Science confirms what ancient spiritual traditions already knew: our thoughts, emotions and intentions influence our reality. By consciously employing meditation, heart-brain coherence and knowledge of quantum physics, we can transform our lives and consciously create what we truly desire. The key is in your hands – or rather, in your heart and mind. Want to learn more or have a conversation with me to see what I can do for you? Click here to contact me or use the Whatsapp chat.
